Ambassador Program Guidelines

Version 1.0Last updated: November 4, 2026Part of the Ambassador Program Terms
01 / GUIDELINES

Welcome, and how to use these Guidelines

Thanks for joining the PassPrep Ambassador Program. You're here because you use PassPrep to get ready for the NCLEX-RN and want to share it with other nursing students. These Guidelines are the practical playbook: how to share your referral link, how to disclose your relationship with PassPrep, what you can and can't say, and how to earn your next 30 days of free access.

These Guidelines are the “Program Guidelines” referred to in the PassPrep Ambassador Program Terms (the “Terms”), and they are part of your agreement with PassPrep. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control. We update these Guidelines from time to time; the current version always lives at passprep.com/ambassadors/guidelines, and we'll let you know when something important changes.

Questions at any point: email support@passprep.com. We'd rather answer a question than ask you to take a post down.

02 / GUIDELINES

Quick start

  1. Read the Terms and these Guidelines once, start to finish.
  2. Open your Ambassador dashboard at passprep.com/ambassadors/dashboard and copy your referral link or QR code (and your discount code, where we offer codes).
  3. Use PassPrep for real before you post about it. Your posts have to reflect your own experience.
  4. Download the brand kit from the Resources section of your dashboard (logo files, sample visuals, messaging, and any approved demo questions).
  5. Put the disclosure in every post, story, video, and message that mentions PassPrep or includes your link. Section 4 shows you how.
  6. Submit your two renewal posts each 30-day period through “Free access renewal” in your dashboard (Section 10).
  7. Add your PayPal email and complete the tax form through the secure tax-form link in your dashboard before your first payout (Section 11).
03 / GUIDELINES

Your referral tools

Every ambassador gets a personal referral link and a QR code. Where PassPrep offers them, you may also get a discount code. The Terms call these your “Referral Tools.” The referral link is the primary tool:

  • Referral link: a permanent link that tracks visitors to you for 30 days after their most recent click.
  • QR code: the same link, as an image, for flyers, slides, and in-person events. It's in your dashboard.
  • Discount code (where offered): your personal code. Where codes are supported at checkout, a code entered at checkout wins over any link.

How credit works, in plain words. If someone clicks your link and buys within 30 days, that purchase is attributed to you. If they click several ambassadors' links, the most recent link wins, unless they enter a code at checkout (where codes are offered). Signing in, creating an account, or taking the free Readiness Check through your link also connects that account to you, for 30 days after that account's most recent visit through your link. Credit is based on PassPrep's transaction records, not on views, clicks, or your own analytics. Only a referred customer's first paid purchase earns a commission, and only if that customer has never bought PassPrep access before.

Where to use your tools:

  • The link in your bio, with a short disclosure next to it (see Section 4).
  • Captions, pinned comments, and on-screen text in your own posts and videos.
  • Replies and direct messages to people who ask you about PassPrep.
  • Study groups, class group chats, and campus clubs, if the group's rules allow promotional posts and you disclose.
  • Flyers or slides at events, where your school permits them, using the QR code and the disclosure line.

Never do any of these. Each one breaks the Terms, and commissions earned this way are forfeited:

  • Post your code or link on coupon, deal, or discount-code sites or forums, or anywhere you aren't personally recommending PassPrep.
  • Run paid ads of any kind with your link or code, or bid on “PassPrep,” “NCLEX,” or similar keywords in search or app-store advertising.
  • Create an account, page, handle, or website with “PassPrep” in the name (for example, @passprep_nyc or passprepstudents.com).
  • Use your own code, or another ambassador's code, for your own purchases, or buy through your own link for family or roommates.
  • Offer to split your commission, give cash back, or otherwise pay someone to buy through your link.
  • Send bulk unsolicited emails, texts, or DMs. One-to-one replies to people who ask are fine; blasting a class list is not.
  • Misstate the discount, the price, or what PassPrep includes.

Where the discount works. Ambassador pricing is applied at checkout on passprep.com. It is not available for purchases made inside the iOS or Android app through Apple or Google checkout, so send people to passprep.com to buy. You earn commissions on purchases made on passprep.com through your link (or your code, where codes are offered). Purchases made inside the app can't be matched to you and don't earn a commission. After buying on the website, your referral can study in the PassPrep apps too.

04 / GUIDELINES

Disclosure: the one rule you can't skip

You get free PassPrep access and can earn commissions. Under U.S. Federal Trade Commission rules, your audience has to be told that, every time, in a way they can't miss. This is a legal requirement for you and for PassPrep, and it's the main thing we check when we review posts. A post without a proper disclosure doesn't qualify for renewal, and repeated misses end participation.

What to say

Use plain words. Any of these works:

  • “I'm a PassPrep ambassador. I get free access and may earn a commission if you buy through my link.”
  • “#ad – I'm a PassPrep ambassador and earn a commission from my link.”
  • “PassPrep gives me free access as an ambassador, and I earn a small commission on sign-ups through my code.”

Starting a caption with “#ad” or “#sponsored” is acceptable on its own. These are not enough by themselves: “#sp,” “#collab,” “#partner,” “#ambassador,” “thanks PassPrep,” or a disclosure that only appears in your profile or after the “more” link.

Where to put it, by format

FormatWhere the disclosure goesDetails
TikTok video / Instagram Reel / YouTube ShortSaid out loud and shown as on-screen text, plus in the captionSay it near the start, before you talk about PassPrep. Keep the on-screen text up long enough to read. Also turn on the platform's branded-content or paid-promotion label.
Instagram, Facebook, or Threads feed postFirst line of the caption, before the foldNot after the “more” link, and not buried in a block of hashtags.
StoriesVisible text on each story frame that mentions PassPrep or has your link stickerEach frame stands alone. “#ad” sticker plus a short line works. Use the paid-partnership label too.
Live streamsSay it when you first mention PassPrep, and repeat it periodicallyPeople join mid-stream. Pin a text disclosure if the platform allows.
YouTube long-formSpoken in the video when PassPrep comes up, and in the first lines of the descriptionTick YouTube's “paid promotion” box as well.
Bio linkA short line right next to the linkExample: “PassPrep ambassador – I earn a commission from this link.”
DMs, texts, group chatsIn the same message as the link or codeExample: “Here's my PassPrep code (I'm an ambassador and earn a commission on it).”
Flyers, slides, in personOn the flyer or slide, next to the QR code; said out loud when you presentUse the one-line disclosure in Appendix A.
Reddit, Discord, Facebook groups, forumsIn the post or comment itselfAlso follow the group's rules on promotion. Don't post where it's not allowed.

Platform tools

Use the built-in labels (TikTok's content-disclosure setting for promotional content, Instagram's paid-partnership label, YouTube's paid-promotion checkbox) in addition to your own disclosure, not instead of it. A label alone can be missed or not shown everywhere the post appears.

05 / GUIDELINES

What you can say

Talk about your own experience. The strongest posts show how you actually study: a deck you just finished, a case study you found hard, how you use the progress screens. Honest opinions, including things you'd improve, are welcome. You never have to be glowing; you have to be truthful.

Facts you can rely on

  • PassPrep is an NCLEX-RN preparation platform, available on the web at passprep.com and as the “PassPrep: NCLEX RN Prep” app for iOS and Android.
  • 3,000+ practice questions across 21 topic decks, each with a detailed answer explanation.
  • Seven Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) question formats, plus case studies.
  • Custom quizzes and progress tracking.
  • Simple pricing with one-time payments and no auto-renewal: 30-Day Access $59, 60-Day Access $89, 90-Day Access $119.
  • Ambassador pricing for a referred student's first purchase on passprep.com: $50, $75, or $100 (the 30-, 60-, and 90-day plans).
  • A free 10-question NCLEX Readiness Check at passprep.com/readiness, no purchase required.

Helpful phrasing

  • “Practice questions in the NGN formats, so the exam style isn't a surprise.”
  • “I like that it's a one-time payment, not a subscription.”
  • “Here's the free 10-question Readiness Check if you want to try the question style first.”
06 / GUIDELINES

What you can't say

These claims cause legal problems for you and for PassPrep, even when they're well-meant. Don't say or imply any of them, in words, captions, hashtags, or on-screen text:

  • Guarantees or outcomes: “you'll pass,” “guaranteed to pass,” “pass on the first try with PassPrep.”
  • Pass rates, scores, or statistics of any kind, including your school's or your friends' results, unless the number is in Section 5 or PassPrep has given it to you in writing.
  • Rankings and comparisons: “#1,” “the best NCLEX app,” “better than [competitor],” or naming other prep companies at all. Talk about PassPrep, not about them.
  • Endorsement or affiliation: that NCSBN, the NCLEX, your nursing school, a hospital, or a professor endorses, uses, recommends, or partners with PassPrep.
  • Real exam content: that PassPrep has actual NCLEX questions, “leaked” questions, or questions “from the exam.” It doesn't, and that claim would be a serious problem.
  • Pricing you've invented: any price, discount, “limited-time offer,” or “exclusive deal” other than the current published ambassador pricing.
  • Clinical or medical advice given as PassPrep, and anything suggesting PassPrep is a substitute for your nursing program.
  • Unreleased features, internal plans, or anything PassPrep shared with you in confidence.
  • That you work for PassPrep or speak for it. You're an independent ambassador, not an employee or spokesperson.
07 / GUIDELINES

Using the PassPrep name and logo

  • Write it as PassPrep: one word, capital P and capital P. Not “Pass Prep,” “Passprep,” or “PASSPREP” in running text.
  • The app is “PassPrep: NCLEX RN Prep.” The website is passprep.com.
  • Use only the logo files in the brand kit (Resources section of your dashboard). Don't recolor, stretch, crop, add effects, or combine the logo with your own logo, your school's logo, or any other brand.
  • Don't make anything look official: no “PassPrep Official,” “PassPrep [City],” “Team PassPrep,” or PassPrep-branded accounts, pages, groups, or merchandise.
  • Don't use the NCSBN or NCLEX logos. Use the word “NCLEX” only to describe the exam. Where you have room (bios, video descriptions, flyers), include this line: “NCLEX® is a registered trademark of NCSBN, which is not affiliated with and does not endorse PassPrep.”
  • Your permission to use the PassPrep name and logo is limited to promoting the Program while you're an active ambassador, and it ends when your participation ends.
08 / GUIDELINES

Showing the app: what you may and may not show

PassPrep's question bank is the product and is protected by copyright. Showing it publicly, even with good intentions, gives it away and may put questions in front of people who then post them elsewhere. So:

You may show

  • The app home screen, deck list, quiz setup, and navigation.
  • Your own progress, results, and streak screens (your data, your choice).
  • The free NCLEX Readiness Check, including its questions and explanations, since it's public and free. We'd love you to promote it.
  • Any approved demo questions PassPrep adds to the brand kit, identified there as demo questions. If the brand kit has none, there are none.
  • The sample visuals, logos, and any official screenshots or clips included in the brand kit.

You may not show

  • Screenshots, screen recordings, photos, or read-alouds of paid practice questions, answer options, rationales, or case studies, other than the approved demo set.
  • Compilations, “question dumps,” study guides, or notes built from PassPrep content.
  • Your login or access with anyone else. Your free access is for you alone.

Quick test: if a viewer could learn the question and the answer from your post, don't post it.

09 / GUIDELINES

Content rules

  • Original and yours. Renewal posts must be your own original content. Reposts and recycled posts don't count.
  • Based on real use. Only talk about features you've actually used.
  • Music and clips. Use sounds licensed for commercial or branded content in the platform's library. Popular songs that are licensed only for personal use can't be used in promotional posts and are the most common reason posts get taken down.
  • Other people. Get permission before showing classmates, friends, or anyone identifiable. No minors.
  • No patients, no clinical settings. Never film or photograph patients, charts, screens, whiteboards, or restricted areas, and don't post PassPrep content from a hospital or clinical site, even in the break room. Blur or remove hospital names and badges. HIPAA and your program's policies apply, and one slip can end your clinical placement.
  • Follow your school's rules. No posting during class or clinicals, no school logos that suggest endorsement, no use of school email lists or learning-management systems to promote PassPrep.
  • No fake engagement. No purchased followers, likes, views, or comments; no engagement pods for PassPrep posts; no fake accounts.
  • Keep it respectful. Nothing harassing, discriminatory, obscene, or political on PassPrep's behalf.
  • Follow platform rules. Each platform's community guidelines and branded-content policies apply on top of these Guidelines.
10 / GUIDELINES

Renewal posts: earning your next 30 days

Your complimentary access runs 30 days at a time. To add the next 30 days, submit two qualifying posts during your current access period and have both approved. Here's what qualifies and how to submit.

A qualifying post

  • Is an original feed post or video (stories alone don't count) on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or Threads, or another platform PassPrep approves in writing.
  • Is publicly viewable so we can review it.
  • Genuinely discusses or promotes PassPrep based on your own use.
  • Includes a clear and conspicuous disclosure, placed as described in Section 4.
  • Includes your referral link or code, or tells viewers where to find it (for example, “link in bio”).
  • Follows Sections 5 through 9 (no banned claims, correct branding, approved content only, content rules).
  • Hasn't been submitted before and isn't a repost.
  • Stays up for at least 30 days after approval.

How to submit

  1. Open your Ambassador dashboard and go to “Free access renewal.”
  2. Paste the post link and submit. The platform is detected from the link, and the submission date is recorded.
  3. Submit each post separately. You can submit as soon as it's live; don't wait until the end of your period.

Review

  • We aim to review within ten business days. Submit early in your period so a revision is possible if something's missing.
  • Approval is about compliance with the Terms and these Guidelines, not about how positive the post is. An honest, mixed review that follows the rules qualifies.
  • If a post isn't approved, we'll tell you why. You can fix it (for example, add the disclosure) and resubmit, or submit a different post.
  • When both posts are approved, 30 days are added to your current expiration date. If your access has already expired, it restarts for 30 days from the second approval.

Referrals and commissions continue whether or not your free access is active. The two posts are only for renewing access.

11 / GUIDELINES

Commissions and payouts: quick reference

ItemHow it works
What earns a commissionA referred customer's first paid purchase, if the customer is new to PassPrep and the purchase is attributed to you (link within 30 days, or, where codes are offered, your code at checkout), and the purchase was made through a channel that supports attribution (Section 3).
How much15% of Net Revenue: the amount PassPrep actually receives after the customer discount, taxes, and payment-platform fees. Example: a $50 purchase on passprep.com with about $1.75 in payment-processing fees leaves about $48.25; 15% of that is about $7.24. Fees vary by payment method.
Verification periodAt least 30 days after the purchase, so refunds and chargebacks can clear. Refunded purchases don't earn commissions.
Payout scheduleMonthly, in U.S. dollars, by PayPal, once your eligible balance reaches $25. Smaller balances roll forward. The minimum doesn't apply to a final payout when you leave.
Before your first payoutAdd your PayPal email in the dashboard and complete the tax form (IRS Form W-9) through the secure tax-form link in your dashboard. Never email a tax form. We can't pay until both are on file.
Fees and taxesPayPal's fees and any bank fees are yours. Commissions, free access, and any rewards may be taxable income to you. Talk to a tax advisor if you're unsure.
Checking your numbersYour dashboard shows referral and commission status. If something looks wrong, email support@passprep.com within 60 days after the end of that month.
Refunds after payoutIf a purchase is refunded after you've been paid, the commission is deducted from your next payout.
Discretionary rewardsFrom time to time PassPrep may thank top-performing ambassadors with gift cards, merchandise, or other rewards. These are at PassPrep's sole discretion, are not guaranteed, and aren't part of your commissions.
12 / GUIDELINES

Reviews and ratings

App Store, Google Play, and review-site ratings are different from your posts, and the FTC has specific rules about them. Please:

  • Don't post a review or rating of PassPrep anywhere unless the review itself says you're an ambassador who gets free access and commissions.
  • Don't ask followers or referred students to leave a review, and never offer anything for one.
  • Don't ask anyone for a positive review. PassPrep never conditions anything on positive reviews, and neither can you.
13 / GUIDELINES

Talking with followers

  • Questions about billing, refunds, access problems, or account issues: send the person to support@passprep.com. Don't promise refunds, extensions, or fixes.
  • Questions about exam content or clinical topics: answer as a fellow student if you like, but not as PassPrep, and don't suggest PassPrep gives clinical advice.
  • Questions about pricing: quote only the current published pricing (Section 5) and explain that ambassador pricing applies to a new customer's first purchase on passprep.com.
  • Personal information: don't collect, store, or share other people's names, emails, or phone numbers for the program. Share your link or code; let PassPrep handle the rest.
  • Press, schools, or companies asking about PassPrep partnerships: forward them to support@passprep.com. Don't negotiate on PassPrep's behalf.
14 / GUIDELINES

If we ask you to change something

If a post is missing a disclosure, makes a claim it shouldn't, or shows content that isn't allowed, we'll email or DM you with what needs to change. Under the Terms, you have 48 hours to fix or remove it. Most fixes take two minutes (adding a disclosure line, trimming a clip). If we can't reach you or the post stays up, we may ask the platform to remove it and may pause or end your participation.

If you're ever unsure whether something is okay, send it to us before you post. We'll answer quickly.

15 / GUIDELINES

Leaving the Program

You can leave any time by emailing support@passprep.com. PassPrep can also end participation under the Terms. When participation ends: your free access and permission to use the PassPrep name and logo stop; stop sharing your link and code; update your bio and any pinned posts so they no longer present you as an ambassador; and remove or edit anything we identify within ten days. Commissions you've legitimately earned and that clear verification are still paid under the normal rules.
